About the Event
Lunar Quest, a brand-new, space-themed adventure, took center stage at our college’s inaugural Space Day event. This tech-driven journey invited participants to step into the shoes of astro-engineers, navigating space-themed challenges across five immersive levels. Teams of 4 members embarked on an exhilarating space expedition, utilizing their analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to conquer the vast unknowns of the cosmos. Lunar Quest introduced a variety of engaging challenges, from space exploration to advanced data structure and programming tasks/quizzes.
The game consisted of five levels, each designed to test agility, intelligence, and collaboration: ISRO/Chandrayaan Exploration – Participants navigated mission-based challenges inspired by real-world space explorations. Code of the Cosmos – They solved programming and data structure puzzles mimicking the logic of space systems. Intergalactic Intelligence – Participants tested their IQ and brainstorming abilities by decoding space-themed riddles.
- Galactic Algorithms: They tackled advanced data structure and algorithm challenges crucial for space engineering.
- Landing Phase: Teams overcame the final stage with difficult programming quizzes that assessed endurance and expertise. Each team of 4 members paid a registration fee of Rs 100. Team participation encouraged collaboration by leveraging the strengths of all members to overcome challenges.
- Rather than relying solely on conventional technical tasks, Lunar Quest emphasized a narrative based experience. Teams followed space mission storylines and solved puzzles embedded in the plot to progress through different levels. The winning condition for a team was to complete all five levels in the shortest amount of time, surpassing other competitors by demonstrating exceptional speed, precision, and teamwork.
